Hacking to obtain bank and other financial information has existed for many years now, and unfortunetely, banks do try to update their technology to provide their customers with a safer online banking environment, but hackers seem to beat the system time and again!

In fact banks have paid millions of dollars to software companies to develop a fool proof system for them, but the hackers seem to outsmart some of the best developments. You should read the news article in zdnet.com (http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/security/soa/Online-banking-theft-who-pays-/0,130061744,139182217,00.htm). It actually has given the many upgrade technologies that were deviced as recently as two years ago, but have failed to prevent hacking.

I don't know how far it is true, but a good friend of mine working in a top software company in India told me many years ago that the big software orgaisations are the ones who actually develop hacking software so that they get continued business to develop software that act as firewalls to protect the information. So there is a possibility that software giants don't want to find a 'permanent' solution to this problem at all!
